- Arterial hypertension
Macitentan (Opsumit) is an oral endothelin receptor inhibitor. It is used in patients with pulmonary arterial hypertension as it causes vasodilation and has anti-inflammatory and antifibrotic properties.
Description
Each film-coated tablet contains 10 mg macitentan.
Excipients with known effect: Each film-coated tablet contains approximately 37 mg of lactose (as monohydrate) and approximately 0.06 mg of lecithin (soya) (E322).
Excipients/Inactive Ingredients: Tablet core: Lactose monohydrate, Microcrystalline cellulose (E460i), Sodium starch glycolate Type A, Povidone, Magnesium stearate (E572), Polysorbate 80 (E433).
Film coat: Polyvinyl alcohol (E1203), Titanium dioxide (E171), Talc (E553b), soybean lecithin (E322), Xanthan gum (E415).
